Sock and Awe! Hit him!

Alex Taw, known for his Million Dollar Home Page, has come up with a new interesting idea. Following Bush´s shoe incident in Iraq, Alex designed a computer game in which the player has to try his best to hit the president in the face with a shoe. You can find it here.

I am not really fond of computer games, but this one is quite funny :)

Inside Adwords (google´s official blog) has published its top 10 posts for this year.

It´s a good to chance to look back and read some of the most spoken stories inside Google. Most of these posts relate to change in algorithms, optimization ideas and new campaign tools.

My favorites were:

This Year´s Top Search Queries

Sarah Palin? Facebook? Obama? The Olympic Games in China? With this year coming to an end, you must be wondering what people typed in the Google search box in 2008.

You can! Google has published its annual Zeitgeist in which it reveals the most popular search terms of the year.  Based on data gathered in 30 countries, the publication allows you to see truly global trends and to take a close look at the top search queries  in each of those countries.

Social networks and politics have dominated search results this year worldwide. Google recorded a rising interest for sites like Facebook and Hi5. In Politics, with the US election grabbing worldwide attention, Obama and Palin were the top terms.

It´s interesting to see that users not only search for very specific terms, like iPhone, Youtube or American Idol, but also  for more abstract stuff. If you look at the “What is” section you come accros very funny things. In the US the top terms in this section were: LOVE, LIFE and SCIENTOLOGY. Wait a minute! Shouldn´t you find that out for yourself? :)
